An old adage goes, "A picture paints a thousand words." But what if you know thousands of words? Does that indicate how proficient you are in English tests or your ability to achieve high grades?
Research indicates a positive correlation between the size of one's vocabulary pool and academic English test scores (IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, SAT, etc.). Furthermore, significant statistical differences have been observed between groups with low and high vocabulary pools in relation to achieving excellent marks in English GPAs.

This leads to another question: Can the size of your vocabulary pool predict your success in English exams? A large vocabulary pool might reflect a person's work ethic, persistence, penchant for reading, and numerous other factors. While we can't assert that a vast vocabulary pool guarantees high scores, enhancing your vocabulary is certainly worthwhile.
